Adventurous and very curious – that is how I would like to describe myself. I think it’s the combination of those two characteristics that ignited my desire for travel and love for geopolitics. I am deeply fascinated by different countries, cultures & people and especially by the way they are connected to each other. By working and studying in different countries and taking a deep dive into International Security, I had the opportunity to broaden my knowledge of our world and make sense of how it is changing. This exactly describes what is bringing me joy; thoroughly analyzing and researching information, with the goal to synthesize it into a comprehensive report that is of value for its stakeholders.

Bogumila’s skills…

Analytical

My analytical brain makes it easy for me to deal with loads of incoming information. I am continuously overseeing and processing information from lots of different departments and lots of different stakeholders. Also, I always keep an eye out for the things I do not see. As even currently ‘invisible’ stakeholders might be potentially affected in the future.

Synthesis

Keeping an open- and observing mind enables me to gather information from different – sometimes even unexpected – sources. By reading and listening clearly and carefully, I can see correlations within the information provided and combine the seemingly independent elements. In this manner, all different views are incorporated into one output.

Forward-looking

Working and living in different countries and situations, I realized I can easily adjust my behavior to match the current vibes. At first, I sit back for a little bit to observe the setting I arrived in. Yet quickly, I find myself adapting and connecting. Of course, without losing my true self.

I have worked on these projects…

Global Digital Adaptation Specialist at ASML

As a Global Digital Adaptation Specialist within ASML Business Services, I specialized in digital transformation, ensuring that ASML employees had access to the tools and applications they needed to perform their activities securely. This role was crucial as ASML is growing rapidly, requiring employees to adapt to an evolving digital landscape and protect its leading-edge assets, data, and information. I was responsible for adopting security projects, authentication tools, and applications granting specific data access. My focus was on the end-user experience, making the transition to new tools smooth and beneficial. This involved creating and adjusting learning materials, communication strategies, and user journeys based on feedback and analysis. My tasks were ever-changing, requiring flexibility and adaptability. I collaborated closely with project teams and stakeholders, incorporating their feedback to improve training materials and communication. This included producing nano videos, emails, end-user analyses, and organizing kick-off sessions with AI-generated voice technologies. One of the biggest challenges was the constant evolution of the digital environment, which required forward-thinking and anticipating potential issues, especially in clean rooms where ASML machines were produced. Key skills I utilized included adaptability, stakeholder management, communication, and end-user analysis. I was particularly proud of successfully migrating 95% of ASML employees to a new application and ensuring uniform software use in factories. I worked extensively with stakeholders, executing tasks independently but needing their approval before finalizing materials for end users. Despite being the only woman and the youngest team member, I felt supported and valued. The best part of my assignment was working with a dynamic team, expanding my skills in cybersecurity, and learning about ASML’s security applications. The biggest lesson I learned was never to assume people had all the information they needed—effective communication was key.

Bogumila is curious about…

In second grade I started dancing and even today it still makes me so happy! When I was younger, I enjoyed ballroom dancing but now I am mostly into Salsa. A great way to enjoy, let go and meet new people. O, and! Recently I got into investing. I followed a stock trading course, and I am quite interested to see if my forward-looking abilities will also support me in online trading ;).

Bogumila tips…

As someone that is into International Security my recommendation would be: don’t be afraid of the world! It is not as bad as you might hear in social media. The truth is that 99% of people are good people. Of course, make sure to keep your head on your shoulders and be aware, but do go out and explore the world!
